Turkish Oil Wrestlers Make Us Slippery With Lust

This weekend there was a Turkish oil wrestling event in the western German city of Kassel and if you’ve missed Rugger Bugger’s posts on the very hot sport (here and here), the pics above are enough to give newcomers an appreciation for the sport. The athletes slick each other up with olive oil before each fight and according to the Ikigaiway martial arts blog, “The sun is hot and the fights are long… there are few forbidden holds, and grabbing of trunks is not off limits.” Even though we’re on a summer diet, we’d make an exception for some beef slathered in oil.
