2257 + QueerClick + Men At Play

Hey boys and girls, well June 23rd has finally arrived and most webmasters are probably in a state of panic and scurrying to make sure all their site content are up to date and 2257 compliant.
We’d like to take this opportunity to address how the regulations may affect QueerClick to put many of your bumpy hearts at ease (thanks to all those who’ve written in with your concern) and so you can quit worrying. We don’t wanna add any wrinkles to your beautiful faces!
This new ruling affects not only main porn content producers but also “secondary” producers (blogsites which link to these main porn sites, such as ourselves). Thankfully, QueerClick is registered and based outside the USA. Thence we technically do not fall under the 2257 Jurisdiction.
Our hearts go out to the many sites who will undoubtedly be affected by this new ruling. There is a glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel though as it’s been reported on XBiz that the Free Speech Coalition entered into an agreement Thursday with the Justice Department to suspend enforcement of re-issued federal record-keeping and labeling requirements for FSC members. Keep your fingers crossed.
